Dodo bird in an extinct flightless bird weighing about 22 to 40 pounds .The diet of this bird consists of druids,seeds and nuts.
This bird commonly lived in the island of Mauritius 🦤. It's hooked beaks was used as a tool while harvesting foods.

The closest living relatives of the Dodo are the penguin, pigeon and doves.Dodo bird was first sighted by Dutch settlers  1598.This bird had no natural predators allowing them to thrive around the Mauritius island.

So why and how did they go extinct??

The Dodo bird was illegally hunt by the Dutch sailers visiting the island and it was completely extinct in 1638 not even a decade after it was discovered.They could not fly and were slow and defend less against there predators.And progressive weight gain making them easily noticeable.
